Yardland - La Chorale de Tiakola

“Tiakola's choir” at Yardland was an unforgettable, emotion-filled moment — an ambitious show supported by powerful visuals.

The artistic direction was clear: we needed a 50-person choir. Yardland launched a casting call on social media, inviting followers comfortable with singing to send a cover of a Tiakola track. The artistic team, together with Prisca — a professional vocal coach — then selected several choristers. Prisca completed the group by choosing singers she regularly works with in her masterclasses.

She handled the arrangements, recorded reference vocals, and sent the tracks to the choristers so they could learn them at home before attending group rehearsals twice a month.

As a production assistant, my role was to supervise the rehearsals at La Seine Musicale, ensure the group’s well-being, centralize their questions, and relay them to the Yardland team so we could provide clear and efficient answers.

We then brought in Annaelle, a professional choreographer for Tiakola and other French artists. She coached the choristers to improve their stage presence and assembled a team of six dancers, as well as additional performers placed at the edges of the stage to bring even more dynamism to the show.

As the festival approached, we finalized the styling for the choristers and dancers, dressed in BDLM x Nike Total90 outfits inspired by sunset tones.
On the day of the event, I assisted the production by supervising the choir, ensuring they had all necessary information regarding call times, dressing rooms, wardrobe, and stage access.
